Surface pro cables for external batteries.

Hi,

We are getting emails asking if we support X brand batteries.

If you know for sure your battery outputs 12v, then please send us the exact tip size and we'll try to put that tip on for you!

  1. How about the Anker® Astro Pro2 20000mAh External Battery? It has loads of connectors, should one of them work with the cable?

    1. Hi... I just got the same battery ( http://www.amazon.com/20000mAh-Aluminum-Multi-Voltage-PowerIQTM-Technology/dp/B005NGLTZQ/) but they did not provide me any tips or a cable! I emailed them and they dont have any?!?!

Anyway... I wanted to confirm 100% before spending $40 on a Gen2 cable which size I need to order. I emailed Anker to get the dimensions as well but thought you might know.

    2. I just spoke to Anker. The output port on this battery is 4.3*1.6mm, which I do not see as an option. They are sending me a cable which is a male/male with one of those tips at one end and a 5.5*2.5 at the other. I guess I could then use some sort of female barrel connector to attach your cable, which seems like a lot of work :), unless you can do a cable with that odd connector.

    4. Yes we can do that too. If they sent you a cable, then we can put on a female jack that is 5.5x2.5mm for it.

be sure to put in checkout notes that you want the female jack 5.5x2.5mm

    5. I have this same battery. How do I specify the 4.3*1.6mm connector in the c checkout process (it's not in the dropdown list). As well, is there an extra charge for this connector?

  14. Looking for a tip to connect to a GoalZero Sherpa 100. They are saying it is: laptop port (output, 7.4mm, orange, square): 19V, up to 6A (120W max), regulated. More details at: http://www.goalzero.com/p/207/sherpa-100-power-pack

  15. Hi,
We have that tip adapter that will convert from our standard 5.5x2.5 to 7.4mm size
    Or
you may use your existing output cables with 5.5x2.5male tip and we can put a female tip on our surface cable.

  16. Which would you recommend Mike to work best? And at what cost?

  17. Probably the most simpliest is for us to send you the adapter tip which is 9.95, plus you'll need this:

Please email us at support@mikegyver.com with your email address so we can online bill you. We don't sell the adapter tip from our store page yet.
